⏩HUMAN AND NATURAL RESOURCES:-

⏩1. FORESTS AND PASTURES:-

All the trees and the herbs that grow on the Earth where welive is called plants. In ant one area if there are a lot of plants, that area is called as "forests". In the opinion of experts, 25% of the land should have forests on them, which are essential for the progress and development pf that country. In the province of Punjab, there are different kinds of forests ib different areas. Forests of the province of punjab can be divided into four kinds. These are:

1. Forests of the Northern Mountain Areas

2. Forests of the Plateaus and Salt Range

3. Forests at the foot of Mountains

4. Forests of Plain Areas

5. The Plants of the Desert Areas 

⏩1. FORESTS OF THE NORTHERN MOUNTAIN AREAS:-

On the north of punjab, there are mountains of the Himalayan range. On these mountains, the quality of the annual rain is nearly 2000 millimeters. Because of this abundance of rain, there are a large number of trees in these mountainous areas. The wood of these trees is quite soft. The height of these trees us usually longer than the height of trees in other areas.

⏩2. FORESTS AT THE FOOT OF MOUNTAINS:-

Those areas which are located on the South of the foot of the Northern Mountains are called "Areas of the Mountain's Foot'. The trees of these areas are of lesser height. The branches of these trees are less towards upper side and are spread on the peripheral side. Th leaves of these trees are smaller which cannot tolerate severe cold weather.

⏩3. FORESTS OFTHE PLEATEAUS AND SALT RANGE:-

Pleateaus are found on the North side of these plains of the River Sindh. The surface of pleateaus are usually uneven, rugged and irregular. On the top plain of these pleateaus, we find in abundance the trees of acacia, farash, phalahi and lettuce in plants. In addition to these trees and plants, we find thorny shrubs. The height of these trees and shrubs is not much.

⏩4. FORESTS OF THE PLAIN AREAS:-

The major part of the province of punjab consists of the plains. Five large rives we find in Pakistan flow through these plains, which are:

1. River Sutlej

2. River Ravi

3. River Chenab

4. River Jhelum

5. Indus River

⏩5. THE PLANTS OF THE DESERT AREAS:-

In the province of Punjab, the Northern part of District Muzzafaragh, Distruct Liyyah, Mianwali, Bhakkar and Koshab are situated in these Desert of Thal. Likewise, District Bahalwalpur, Rahimyar Khan and Bahawalnagar are situated in the Deser of Cholistan. In these deser areas, the rainfall is very small. We can find thorny bushes and groves of small trees here and there. These bushes and trees and other small reed like plants (sar kanda)
