 Assalam o Alaikum, I am here again and now we are going to learn about "AGRICULTURE" which is the biggest part of our society and it is also the basic need of our life. So, let's go to our mission which will be to discuss about ther term commonly known as "AGRICULTURE"

First of all, let's talk about the production of agriculture:

⏩PRODUCTION OF AGRICULTURE:-

Different kinds os crops are cultivated which produce resources of income are called "Agriculture Resources". Larger population of the province of punjab lives in villages. The important profession of these people, living in these villiages, is agriculture. Different kinds of crops are cultivated in the province of punjab. We can divide the crops in two kinds, according to the seasons. They are:-

1. Autumn crops

2. Spring Crops

Let's study one by one:

⏩AUTUMN CROPS:-

Such crops which are sown in the beggining of the summer seasons and harvbested in the beggining of the winter seasons are called 'Autumn Crops'

⏩SPRING CROPS:-

Such crops are sown in the beggining of the winter season and harvested in the begginning of the summer season are called "Spring Crops". The crops can be divided in two kinds, according to their usefulness. Namely:

a. Food Crops

b. Cash Crops

⏩FOOD CROPS:-

Such crops which are used for food are called "Food Crops"

⏩CASH CROPS:-

Such crops which are not basically used for food and which are solid to earn money are called "Cas Crops". The following crops are cultivated in the province of Punjab. The are:-

Wheat    

Rice

Sugarcane   Maize(Corn)

Gram and Chickpeas

Edible Oil Seeds

Vegetables   Fruits

⏩1. WHEAT:-

Wheat is a spring crop. It is cultivated in the begginning of winter season and ready for harvesting in the beginning of Summer season. Nowadays, with help of modern machinery, it is harvested and thrased at the same time. The grains are separated from the chaff with the help of the modern equipments.

⏩2. RICE:-

Rice is an important autumn crop. A lot of water is needed for cultivation. Superior kind of rice is grown in the province of punja, which are called "Basmati Rice'. This kind of Pakistani's rice is very popular in other countries also. Rice is a cash as well as a food crop.

⏩3. COTTON:-

Cotton is called "Silver Fibre". This is a very important cash crop of the province of punjab, which brings a lot of foreign exchange. Cotton is mostly used in the textile industry. Most of the textile industry, where cotton cloth is manufactured, is inFaislabad. This city of Pakistan is also Known as ' Manchester of Pakistan'

⏩4. SUGARCANE:-

Sugarcane is a spring as well as a autumn crop. This is cultivated during the months of January and February and it is ready for harvesting during the months of November and December. For cultivation of sugarcane, much of water and fertile land are required. White sugar, raw sugar and brown sugar are produced from sugarcane.

⏩5. MAIZE:-

Maize(Corn) is used as fodder for the animals and also for the food for the human beings.

⏩6. GRAM AND CHICKPEAS:-

This crop is cultivated in the rain dependant farming areas. Much water and very fertile land are not needed for this crop. It is mostly cultivated in the sandy soil areas. It is used as a fodder as well as for human beings.

⏩7. EDIBLE OIL SEEDS:-

Edible Oil and "Banaspati Ghee" are manufactured from these seeds. The oil and ghee are used for cooking and frying. Seasame seeds, peanuts, Soya Seeds and sunflower seeds are used for this purpose.

⏩8. PULSES:-

 Pulses are an important part of our food. These are mainly cultivated in  the rain dependant farming areas because they do not need much water. District Narowal and Sialkot are known for the cultivation of different pulses.

⏩9. VEGETABLES:-

Vegetables are very very imporant part of our food. Nature has bestowed vegetables with good taste and energy. In the province of punjab, vegetables are cultivated in all the districts.

⏩10. FRUITS:-

The use of fruits is very essential for the human health. There are Orchards for every kind of fruits in the Province of Punjab.
