KINDS:-

1.  Railways          2. Roads     3. Airways     4. Seaways

Let's discuss one by one for further information.

RAILWAYS:-

The tracks on which the trains runs are called " Railway Lines". The places where these trains stops are called " Railway Station"

Lahore to Rawalpindi:-

The train goes from Lahore following the main line and reaches Rawalpindi by stopping at the stations of Gujranwala, Wazirabad, Gujrat, Lala Musa, Jhelum, Gojar Khan and then its way from here it goes to Peshawar.

Lahore to Rahim Yar Khan:-

This train starts from Lahore and reaches Rahim Yar Khan through Raiwind, Okara, Khanewal, Multan, Bahalwalpur, Khanpur station. From here it goes to Karachi which is its last station.  Railways carriages carrying goods and slow trains on the branch lines and then they join the main lines. In this way the people and their heavy luggage go from their one city to another.

2. ROADS:-

Roads are means of travelling from one place to another and from one city to another. Bicycles, motorcycles, wagons, cars and buses etc are used from travelling from one place to another. There are usually three kinds of roads.

1. Muddy Roads:-

Most of the Punjab'sd population lives where roads are made of mud to go from one place to another. Only donkey carts and bull carts can travel on these roads made of mud which are very slow in speed. As the construction of the roads are muddy so they cause dust particles and pollution.

2. Sole Roads (Semi Built Roads)

These roads are made of bricks which is called soling. These roads are built in cities, colonies and small areas f travelling.

⏩3. Metal Roads:-

These roads are made up of sand, cement, crushed stone and charcoal which make them durable. These roads connect one city with another and they are very fit for travelling.

Like railways tracks National Highways connects big cities. It is built from the north of Punjab and south of Peshawar upto Karachi. For example, if we travel from Lahore, it will go from Gujranwala, Wazirabad, Gujrat ,Jhelum, and Rawalpindi to peshawar.

AIRWAYS:-

Aeroplanes are the fastest known way to travel. We can easily cover a distance in minutes which otherwise takes hours to travel. The place where the aeroplane lands and takes off is called an airport, In punjab, the airports are located in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Faislabad, Sargodha, Multan, Bahalwalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Mianwali and Rahim Yar Khan.

People can travel on aeroplanes if theywant to go to abroad. The National airlines of Pakistan is Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). We can also send luggage from one place to another through airplanes.

SEAWAYS:-

The biggest river of Punjab is River Sindh in which the ships and steamers are used for travelling purposes. This river can be crossed in a streamer by going from Muzzaffaragh, Rajanpur, and Dera Ghazi Khan to take passengers and luggage from one place to another.
