What are the Basic Organization of a Computer System? TheTalkingFacts
Assalam o Alaikum friends, we are back again and today we are going to learn further about computer system and our topic which we will discuss today is " COMPUTER SYSTEM ORGANIZATION " . So let's get started of our todays' topic:
First of all we will learn about the main components of a computer system
⏩MAIN COMPONENTS OF A COMPUTER SYSTEM:
There are mainly three components of a computer system:
1) Input Unit
2) Output Unit
3) Processing Unit
Now we discuss the difference between the iput and output devices of a computer
⏩INPUT DEVICE:
Input devices are used to give data to the system.
The flow of information is from device to the CPU.
Keyboard, mouse, Joystick and trackball are generally some examples of input devices.
⏩OUTPUT DEVICES:
Output devices are used to shown the required results.
The flow of information is from the CPU to the device.
Monitor, printer, and speakers are some common examples of output devices.
So friends, you may have now clear mind about the difference between the input devices and output devices.
So let's move to the next topic " Primary Memory"
⏩Different types of Primary Memory:
Primary memory also known as main memory, is the most vital component of a computer system. It is used to store data and instructions that are actively used by the CPU. Primary memory can be divided into two types: RAM (Random Access Memory) and ROM (Read-Only Memory). Both RAM and ROM have their own unique features that make them suitable for different applications. RAM is a volatile type of primary memory which means it loses its contents when power is removed from the system. On the other hand, ROM is non-volatile and retains its content even after power failure. RAM provides faster access to data compared to ROM but it can only store temporary information while ROM stores permanent information that cannot be changed or modified easily. .
Primary memory of a computer system can be divided into two types
RAM:-
RAM stands for Random Access Memory. This is usually a memory which stores the data for a temporary period. As soon as the computer shut down, all the data on this memory stored get erased.
ROM:-
ROM stands for Read Only Memory. This is a memory which stores data permanently, and it can only be written once.
⏩Secondary Memory:-
Secondary memory is a unit of the computer which has the ability to store large amount of data permanently in the computer. We can store, edit and view the data anytime. Secondary memmory is also called external memory.
Now we learn about functioning of a computer.
A keyboard is an input device that has many keys on it. When we press a key on the keyboard, it gives input to CPU to process it.
⏩Working of a Joystick:-
A joystick is also an input device which has a base and lever on it. The lever can move in all directions. When we move the lever of a joystick, we will see that the cursor is also mopving just click mouse cursor moves in a computer.
⏩Printer:-
A printer is an output device that prints the results on paper. There are several types of printer such as:-
1. Inkjet Printer
2. Laser Printer
3. Line printer
Difference between the Dot matrix printer and an Inkjet printer:-
⏩Dot Matrix Printer
A dot matrix printer uses pins to print on paper.
Dot matrix printers can also only print one character at a time
Dot matrix matrix printers are slow.
⏩Inkjet Printer:-
The inkjet printers uses spray to print on a paper.
Inkjet printer print many characters at the same time.
Inkjet printers are more fast than Dot matrix printers.
RAM is a type of primary memory that typically has a small amount of data storage. It can be either volatile or non-volatile and it is not necessary to power the system to retain its contents unlike ROM. RAM is divided into two types: SRAM (Static RAM) and DRAM (Dynamic RAM). SRAM uses static electricity to store information on other metallic surfaces while DRAM uses dynamic electricity from semiconductor components. SRAM does not require any kind of power supply
for its operation, but DRAM requires an external power supply for its initialization process before it can be used. The reason why
Inkjet printers are a type of printer that uses ink jets to produce high-quality, full-color prints. They are ideal for printing documents, photos, and other images with detailed color accuracy. Inkjet printers are the most commonly used type of printer in homes and small businesses due to their affordability and versatility.
They can print on a variety of surfaces including paper, cardboard, fabric, and more. There are also inkjet printers classified by the type of ink they use, such as dye-based or pigment-based ink. Dye-based ink is considered to be permanent and pigment-based ink is considered to be potentially permanent.plastic, fabric, metal and wood.
With the right inkjet printer and inkset, you can create stunning prints that will last for many years to come. .What are some popular inkjet printers?HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus, HP Officejet Pro 8610, HP Officejet 6600 , HP LaserJet P2055What are some popular laser printers? HP LaserJet P2055, HP LaserJet Pro 5005, HP LaserJet Pro 4005 , HP LaserJet Pro 4005f, HP LaserJet Pro 4005ng, HP LaserJet Pro P1102wWhy do you have to replace the toner cartridge in your laser printer?
The laser printer uses toner that can be purchased as individual packs or in a drum style cartridge unit. When the toner runs out of ink and the printer is unable to print, it needs to be replaced.HP Officejet 6600 , HP Officejet 6500AHP Officejet 6500A
So friends, today we learnt about the COMPUTER SYSTEM ORGANIZATION in detail and I hope you may have enjoy while reading this article as it was about our daily life used technology "computer" So, bye till the next topic which I will bring at your service as soon as possible and if you need any help, then just comment!
